There is one studio
with two (almost identical) cubicles. Control is switched from inside the studio.
There is an actually quite nice MBI desk, CoolPro, 1 Shortcut, 2 minidiscs,
tape, CD and probably a cassette machine too. You can either file using the
leased line - rather weirdly NOC control which studio in Washington has control
of it. Or you can use ISDN via a Telos Zephyr - set to MPEG Layer 2 I found
I had to change it to G722 to call the NIA. NOC and Traffic were pre-programmed
into it. To hear cue there is a row of buttons on the right - select 'leased
line' if you're using the, er, leased line and 'ISDN' if you're... using ISDN
- and open the ISDN fader. There are also two routers that can feed a variety
of feeds & sources to the inputs of the PC, Shortcut, MD etc as well as to the
desk.
