Above and below, the front and back of the Comrex Hotline box in the apps room. A bit of jiggery-pokery was required to get the Hotline into our on-air studio 1b - it usually goes via the leased line to London and the leased line was being used by 5 Live... and in any case I didn't want London to have to play in any of our inserts or get any of our lives up. I wanted to provide a complete package, and it all worked.

I found a spare channel on the desk in 1b that had clean feed of sorts and - crucially - talkback. I plugged it to a tieline to the Apps Room where a long PO to XLR went into the back of the Comrex so anyone dialling the usual Hotline number came straight through to us in 1b.
