I was much impressed by Lindsay Anderson's 'If..' but it was probably a '60's indulgence. I once saw 'The Blackboard Jungle', I can't recall how or when but of course I only remember Bill Haley's wonderful 'Rock Around The Clock.' (A reprise of Hank Williams' 'Move It On Over'.) I enjoyed the early St Trinivn's films of course. Detest the latest. All told I've never seen a film about school that ever touched me, being far from my experience of meaningless grind, fear, anxiety, and the 'sit up straight, do as you are told, and eat what's put in front of you' philosophy.
