OFFICER SCARLETTE has been described as a "bored, gun-oiling psychopath", but she is also the ship's physician. It was in this role that she selflessly brought 'Limbs' Jones back to life. In the TV series Scarlette comes across as much less aloof than she did in the NME and Section 5 cartoon strips. In her lab-coat, and with her American accent one cannot help but be reminded of Scully in The X-Files; the TV series' failure to pick up on the rather twisted hate-hate relationship between Star and Scarlette is probably the most disappointing thing about it, but it's understandable given that it was intended for children.
