PJ HARVEY - THE LOVE ALBUM

Call me soft, but Stories From The City, Stories From The Sea is the best album PJ Harvey has made to date. 'Good Fortune' may have been playlisted to death by XFM but it still justifes the price of admission on its own. It's just so delirioulsy happy.

And the rest of the album fails to disappoint also. It just all seems to effortless... the photos in the CD booklet of the recording sessions add to the impression that this LP was recorded by a few friends mucking around in a rural recording studio one cold sunlit English afternoon.

Sure there's still raucous noise - the fantastic opener 'Big Exit', but there's dreamy swoony melodies too. The Peejmeister, she happy. The Peejmeister, she in love.
