Tiny cheap solid-state laptop

Tired of waiting for the One Laptop Per Child laptop?

How about one of these cuties from RM / Asus? It’ll be £169, uses flash memory not a hard drive, has WiFi and runs Linux. Ticks all the boxes for me…

The first ‘office’ style PC I used was a RM 380Z. Compared to the Acorn designs I was used to it was inelegant, clunky and shite, and that was just the memory map, let’s not talk about the lack of indirection vectors. I suppose they _may_ have come a long way since then…

Ooh I know RM used to make some dire machines, but this is a re-badged Asus. I have dreamed of a cheap wifi flash-drive laptop for ages now, I just gots to have one of these.
